Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with New York State and federal regulations.

Provide direct instruction in special class, resource room, and/or integrated co-teaching (ICT) settings.

Adapt and modify curriculum, instructional materials, and assessments to meet diverse learning needs.

Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to support academic, social, and behavioral growth.

Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff.

Participate in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings and contribute to student evaluations and program recommendations.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress reports, service logs, and compliance records.

Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and support positive behavioral strategies.

Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and needs.

Support students in developing transition plans, including post-secondary goals related to college, career, and independent living.

Create a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.

Perform other duties as assigned by administration.
